Dads4Kids Men’s Leadership Summit

First things first: Happy Father’s Day! It’s an honour to be communicating with you on this most important and special day.

Whether you’re a father of younger or older kids, a grandfather, or a father figure to some precious people in your life, our prayer here at Dads4Kids is that you have a blessed Father’s Day with family and friends.

Secondly, the first-ever TV documentary on the Dads4Kids Men’s Leadership Summit, the annual life-changing weekend for men, was recently broadcast on the excellent TV program Helping Hands on Channel 9!

If you prefer YouTube, you can watch it here.

All thanks to Richard Attieh and his crew at Australian TV & Media Group, the team behind Helping Hands, which broadcasts each weekend. Warwick Marsh and I are super excited to share the story of the 2023 Men’s Leadership Summit!

As I’ve written previously, the Dads4Kids Men’s Leadership Summit has been life-changing for me. 2023 was better than ever!

Almost 100 men from all over Australia and all walks of life spent an August weekend at The Tops Conference Centre, just south of Sydney in NSW. From Friday evening to Sunday afternoon, we sang, prayed, talked and ate together. We gleaned great wisdom from our three keynote speakers, Dr Allan Meyer, Ps Scott Hanzy and Brett Davis.

But most importantly, all the men shared their stories and listened intently within their small groups throughout the entire weekend. Secret men’s business was carefully dealt with. Hearts were moved, and minds were renewed. I have never experienced anything like it.

In the documentary, my beloved Indigenous brother Ps James Dargin explains:

‘These men here are my brothers, and they’re close, because it’s not about what I look like on the outside. It’s (about) what we share from the inside.’

2023 was Bryan Heggie’s second Summit, and he explains in the documentary:

‘I’ve (now) got great relationships with my kids. From last year’s summit ’til now, my relationships have grown phenomenally. You can see the happiness in them (my kids), it’s just so positive.’

Watch the documentary, and consider joining us in 2024. It might just change your life!

Well done to you and your team Nathaniel, it was a beautiful thing to watch. Men supporting men, Fathers and Sons doing what God intended us to do. I can only imagine there might have been a lot of regrets realised during the summit, but learning from those times is the key to better happiness. The stories and experience that can be shared and passed down to the generations that follow is priceless.

    God Bless.
