1IN3’s Submission to the Consultation on the Second Action Plan

1IN3's Submission to the Consultation on the Second Action Plan

The Australian Government, working with states and territories, is developing the Second Action Plan under Australia’s National Plan to End Violence Against Women and Children 2022–2032 (the National Plan).

The Government will be consulting broadly, including people with lived experience, frontline workers, peak bodies, policy experts, academics, employers, and the broader community.

The One in Three Campaign has lodged a formal submission. The submission makes 20 recommendations.

Underpinning every recommendation is a single, consistent theme: Australia’s response to family, domestic and sexual violence should be inclusive of every Australian who experiences it — with the current gaps in recognition, data and services for male victim-survivors offered throughout as a clear, well-evidenced illustration of where that inclusiveness is not yet being achieved.
