Dads Catches Son Time Is Running Out

My deepest gratitude to those who have donated to Dads4Kids this end of financial year. As I wrote in last week’s letter, one of my great joys is meeting and engaging with people who have a heart for dads. Another of my great joys is hearing from the wonderful community of people across Australia, and other parts of the world, who believe in the work of Dads4Kids.

Amazingly, these generous supporters are willing to give financially to the mission of helping dads be the best they can be for their children, and for that I am so thankful.

30th June is only a few days away, and we still have some way to go to reach our 2026 EOFY funding goal of $140,500. At time of writing, we are still $88,362.18 short of our target, but by God’s grace we can get there. If you have already donated, thank you! Please consider spreading the word about Dads4Kids EOFY matching fund challenge and please share this link with your networks before June 30.

Remember, as a registered harm prevention charity with ATO Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status, every donation to Dads4Kids is tax deductible. If you’re a leader or pastor, please consider having your organisation or church support the much-needed, Father-heart work of Dads4Kids. Please click here to donate or call 02 4272 6677 if you have any questions or prefer to process payment over the phone.

This past week I was grateful to speak with several fathers who reached out to Dads4Kids for encouragement. A single dad from Brisbane, who is also a Dads4Kids supporter, shared his story with me. My heart breaks for single fathers and their children, and we both cried together as I prayed for him over the phone.

Sometimes these men apologise for calling, but I always tell them not to. We all make mistakes, but your story is your story, and it will be an encouragement to someone, somewhere. Your journey and life experiences are a part of who you are. If you’re not sure who to call for support and encouragement, please call me. As the saying goes, a problem shared is a problem halved. As CEO of Dads4Kids, my desire is to encourage as many fathers as I possibly can!

Thanks to Dads4Kids’ friend Andrew Gray, you can watch a powerful interview with journalist John Stapleton here which exposes the dark side of Australia’s family court system. The way single dads are treated by Australian government departments is shameful. Since 2002, Dads4Kids has been a strong advocate for fathers, and our support of and advocacy for dads will always continue. My team and I are currently working on plans to tell more fathers’ stories.

Dads4Kids continues to go from strength to strength. We recently refreshed our website, with more updates ongoing, and there’s also some changes coming soon to our weekly Dads4Kids letter. Our Men’s Summit is happening again at Stanwell Tops, NSW, 28th – 30th August 2026 (please save the date) with more details coming soon too.

Planning is underway for other important initiatives such as our annual Community Service Announcement TV Ads released in time for Father’s Day, our next Courageous Online Fathering Course, International Men’s Day on 19th November, other events including our annual Dads4Kids Fun Camp, and so much more. As always, please keep an eye on your inbox for more updates and great stories coming soon.

Your support this EOFY means Dads4Kids much-needed work can continue!

Inside Out Graduation_Jan 2026_1

This Tuesday, thanks to Dads4Kids’ friend and chaplain Glenn Berry, and wonderful supporters (pictured above with inmates, their faces blurred for legal reasons), my father Warwick and I will be visiting South Coast Correctional Centre. We’ll be meeting with eleven incarcerated fathers, sharing a Dads4Kids lunch together, encouraging and graduating these brave men from our Inside-Out Fathering Program.

In addition to all the above, my team and I are also about to start work on updating and relaunching the Inside-Out Fathering Program. There’s lots to do, and I’m excited for the future. Please join Dads4Kids on the journey – thank you for your support!

Lovework

If you’ve already donated to Dads4Kids this EOFY, thank you so much! Please spread the word and help us reach our urgent funding goal of $140,500 by 30th June. If you’re a praying person, please pray for Dads4Kids, especially for the men graduating the Inside-Out Fathering Program this Tuesday.

As my father, Dads4Kids cofounder Warwick Marsh says, “Don’t ever underestimate the power of prayer. A prayer started Dads4Kids, and prayer keeps it going, week in, week out.” I couldn’t agree with him more, and I certainly appreciate your prayers and all your support.

Yours for Dads4Kids,

Nathaniel Marsh
