
If you want to be good at something, it’s best to get a coach.
The best sportspeople, businesspeople, and musicians in the world usually have coaches, teachers, or guides. They know that to be the best they can be, they need someone to help analyse what they’re doing, find space for improvement, and guide them to it.
But many parents go it alone. They figure it out as they go along, making plenty of mistakes, and hoping the kids will be okay.
Ask any pianist if they could have become proficient without a teacher and the answer will be ‘no’.
Getting parenting advice requires being open to the idea you may not have all the answers. But finding the right help, whether it’s through books, podcasts, blogs, or in person with a psychologist or coach, can help you and your kids be at the top of your game: confident, positive, and resilient.
