As a grandma you have a special place in a child’s life; what you do with this role is important — choose to:

  • Encourage them
  • Support them
  • Tell them how much you value them
  • Tell them how much you love them
  • Listen when they talk, and be there when they need you
  • Remember that all relationships change over time — different doesn’t have to mean worse
  • Help parents and children to talk to each other
  • Enjoy them!
